Hi,
As of yesterday I looked at my phone and was confused, as the screen has a vertical green line.
My phone is in perfect condition, its had a screen protector and case on it since the first day I got it.
So I checked google and it seems some of the S20 series of phones also have this issue.
When upgrading the software is when it tends to happen, which if I knew I wouldn't of upgraded the software.
Now reading more about this issue and other Samsung phone users.
They have managed to get the screen fixed so the green line is no longer visible.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, to possibly get a free repair for this Samsung phone as this is a popular fault, with the S20 series phone.
Thank you.

Hello @DelboyLiverpool and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
First try keying the following code into the phone keypad to invoke the colour test panels to see if this stirs the pixels into life.

If this does not help then arrange with a Samsung Service Centre to assess your phone, and they'll advise if the repair is covered under the Limited 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty.

Yeah, I tried all that and the green line is still there.
I'm out of warranty as I have had the phone over 2 years.
Like I said looking on Google it seems to be a common fault with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.
I read some S20 series users have had there screen replaced out of warranty, but I presume its who you get to talk with if they will do it or not.
Some countries like India was replacing all the green screens out of warranty up until a certain date, but I'm in the UK.
Samsung should give me a goodwill as I have had Samsung phones for years. S7 the S9 and of course S20 plus. None of the other phones became faulty just this one.
I take really good care of my phones. I still got the front coating and back coating on the phone which as it comes when you get it, plus I got a rear back case as well.
It looks brand new so im a bit disappointed I have a fault on this.
Hopefully someone can give me a goodwill gesture.
Many thanks.

As the link above. In India you can have a free screen replacement with the green line issue.
What about us with the issue in the UK?
Seems a bit unfair to me.
Aren't you suppose to treat all customers the same?
Can you find out what the status is with the green line error in the UK please.

Hi, I've got the same issue. A green line appeared in August on my Samsung s20 plus 5g. Similarly, I've had a screen protector and all-round case since the moment I've got the phone, like-new condition. The line appeared out of nowhere, the phone hasn't been overheated nor dropped or damaged in any other way. I've tried everything from recommended troubleshooting list from Samsung website, including a painful hard reset, to no luck.
Is there any replacement program for customers in UK, please?
I've been using full range of Samsung products for over a decade, it's a shame a high end series like s20 is the first one to have a defect like this.

Yes. It's definitely not a user fault. It's a manufacturer fault on certain screens.
Don't know about you. But my screen came up with 1 green line. Then 2 green lines, then a few days ago a 3rd green line appeared.
Samsung should be aware of this issue especially as there given free screen replacements out of warranty in India.
Again treat all customers fairly.
Again my phone is in excellent condition case and screen protectors day one.
Surely as I'm on the samsung forums, someone from samsung can point me in the right direction to make a complaint about this issue.
Contact number email address any social media I can write to, to get this all sorted.
All I want is a free screen replacement as it's a manufacturer issue and samsung admits this through giving out free replacements in India.
If I eventually need to get a phone and this is not resolved, my next phone will be an iPhone and I'll be put off with samsung for life. That being phones Tvs tablets earphones etc.
