That's bad luck your phone screen being damaged from an accidental drop with a phone case on it.
Unfortunately factors such as height of the drop, the angle it hit the floor and what type of terrain it dropped onto can all play a part in how the phone fairs after a drop.
Luck sometimes comes into it as well.
Samsung can repair the phone at a cost if you approach a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service.
