S21 ultra camera overheating!

I've had the s21 ultra for a almost a week now.

It's an amazing phone in general BUT it gets super super hot whenever using the camera for more than a minute. This excessive heat causes the camera to stutter and lag and a zoom call of 5 minutes caused the phone to get so hot it just shut down! I've updated twice already including the latest firmware just yesterday but without any noticeable improvement. Reading other people here reporting the same is very very worrying as I was sure I just had a faulty unit. This is a wake up call to Samsung.

I also have a heating problem on my s21 ultra exynos version. 2-3 minutes after launching the camera app. The phone become too hot.

This is global issue on all CPU models. Especially the high end product - S21 ultra 5G. From the looks of it, Samsung was alerted before they took pre-order- https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s21-s21-s21-ultra/overheating-issue/m-p/2742039#M3039 . They still took pre-order knowing they have bad quality product and they still shipped the overheating phone and we now are seating with a phone that may explode.

Power on the phone and start using Camera, phone will heat. Did they not test camera functionality on a high end product they based there advertising on? It happens if you download a file or you watch YouTube. Samsung must fire there quality testing department. This is not the first time you screwed up a flagship product.

I have the exact same problem. It's embarrassing for Samsung. I had all of the previous models but I am seriously considering of sending this one back. When you pay 1400 for a phone you expect more.

Re checked today. After the latest update the overheating issue is somewhat improved. It still gets very very hot very quickly but does not crash. However the camera still stutters like a low-end product even in normal mode, and it actually does not even register my shutter clicks. 108mp mode takes a second to save the photo. Portrait mode is almost UNUSABLE as it's extremely laggy. Video stutters significantly as well.  This very poor camera performance coupled with the extreme overheating means this unit is going back. I'm hoping the next one is functional.

I have had the s21 ultra since it ame out on 28th, only issue I have is when using camera to record video it gets excessive heat and does not work states it needs to cool. everything else is OK

I've had this phone 5 days s21 ultra 512g uk and not happy it gets so hot in normal google search use and I mean hot hot hot ( fry an egg hot ) warning message and can't charge don't talk about camera / video 10 mins and gets even hotter I've decided to send back only had 5 days ..got to decided get a replacement or refund and go back to my samsung S10 5g that never had a problem from the start
