Since the 6.1 update my s21 Ultra has been crashing and displaying a black screen. When it does this I can't get any response out of the phone with any buttons or charging. Holding the power and volume down buttons to reset often brings it back to life temporarily before it happens again.
I tried full factory rest yesterday at midday which seemed to fix the issue, but by morning the phone was back to the same issue.
The crashes are getting more frequent and it's getting increasingly difficult to turn back on with the volume down and power buttons, now taking 1 hour of attempts before it springs back to life.
The phones been working flawlessly until now and I had no desire or need to upgrade yet, instead hoping the s25 or s26 would show a big jump forward in tech.
I contacted Samsung support who dismissed it as "working perfectly" when they asked if it was currently on and I replied yes.
Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix.
I dropped the phone about 2 years ago and have a small crack across the top of the screen(which causes no issues) but it will have voided warranty and I'm concerned if I send it in the diagnosis will default to drop damage rather than the almost certain 6.1 issue
