S20+ Not getting notifications

Since getting my S20+ everything has been great, yet I've noticed within the last day or two that I'm not getting notifications anymore. I won't see WhatsApp or Instagram messages unless I open the apps. I'm not getting app icon badges either. My phone is on loud and I have notifications turned on for both of these applications. I've tried restarting the phone and deleting and reinstalling WhatsApp and the issue still continues.

This worked for me after trying everything. Thanks. The app I had was clean master, I just uninstalled it.

Any one else have problem with the last Samsung updated at 6th of January 2021? I can not mute the WhatsApp notifications despite I restart the app notifications, uninstalled and install again, mute notifications from my phone settings and restart the phone twice. (S20 FE) the only way to muted was on the phone setting/ do not disturb/ WhatsApp, but doing that I can not see any icon message.

Hi all,did anyone solve this problem not receiving notifications as i get it for Amazon/Ebay/Gmail etc.

I have tried everything....all the device care stuff like sleeping apps etc all off, battery saving things/checked all apps and all done to receive notifications even on the apps itself,my old iphone 6s gets them and until i lift my s20plus up and make it light up (still locked) i get them,i know it's a big problem as i got the same on my old s10 and read on here.

I have no AOD on and no widget active on the screen.

Is it an app as i don't have a lot like 25 or so and no anti-virus app.

Thanks for those instructions, Settings/Notifications was set to 'the first three' instead of 'all notifications'.

I had the same problem and the issue was that the app Clean Master had Notification Cleaner enabled, turn it off and I started receiving all my notifications.

Hey, I just had this issue and it was frustrating me so bad. Pull down from the top of your screen to see the notification menu. Click on "Notification Settings" at the bottom. Under the "Recently Sent" menu, click on "More" and switch App Notifications to "All"... look in there to see if any were accidentally toggled off, or are red in color instead of purple. Good luck!

Had my s20+ for 2 weeks and suddenly no gmail notifications, and only gmail.  I have tried everything recommended on this and other forums short of "flashing the stock rom" with no relief.  I even tried to link the samsung email to my gmail accounts but only some of the emails receive notification.  This is intolerable, and I'm seriously thinking of returning to my s7 or switching to apple.  Anybody have any insight since June 2021? 

For the time being, I'm forwarding my gmail to yahoo because the notifications work just fine there.

Solved it on my Galaxy S20SE. I had no notifications on lock screen, no app badge notification but when going to messages unread ones were there. Everything was set ok.  I uninstalled a 3rd party phone cleaner app. Even though I didn't activate the screen lock as I already have McAfee doing that. Just used it as a storage cleaner. Uninstalled it and all working fine again.
