Problem with Samsung display

I have a Samsung S21 ultra and over the past few days I have started to have a lot of problems with the display.
First of all, at low brightnesses the screen will tint with either green or pink, and on AOD the entire screen shows pink or green.
Sometimes, when the phone is locked, and I try to unlock it, the screen goes black and freezes up. I can feel the phone vibrating, but the only way to fix it is to lock the phone and wait for the AOD to come back, and then I can unlock the phone and use it.
At random times, about half of the screen will start flashing green and will stop after about 5 minutes.
These issues have appeared completely out of the blue and were not due to hardware damage as far as I know.
How can I fix these issues?

Hi there, Ama here, I have seen a few posts on this issue. I have the same phone and had experienced a similar issue when the digitiser had a small crack. I hadnt realised it was a hardware issue until later. If this is not the case then follow these tips.
Restart your device: A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches that might be causing display problems like flickering or freezing.
Adjust Display Settings:
Brightness: If the tinting or flashing occurs at low brightness, try increasing it.
Display Mode: Switch to "Light" mode if you are using Dark mode, as AMOLED screens can sometimes show tinting in dark areas at low brightness in Dark mode.
Motion Smoothness: Consider setting Motion Smoothness to Standard (60Hz) instead of Adaptive, as some users report this helping with flickering.
Check for Software Updates: Ensure your phone's software is up to date, as updates often include bug fixes that can address display-related issues.
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Clear Cache Partition: Corrupt system cache files can sometimes cause display problems.
Turn off your phone, then press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key until the Samsung logo appears to enter Recovery Mode.
Use the volume keys to navigate and highlight "wipe cache partition", and the Power key to select it. Confirm by selecting "yes," then reboot.
Test in Safe Mode: This can help determine if a third-party app is causing the problem.
Press and hold the Power button until the Power off screen appears, then touch and hold the Power off icon until Safe mode appears and tap it.
If the issue stops in Safe Mode, a recently installed app is likely the cause; identify and uninstall it.
Consider Hardware Issues: If software troubleshooting doesn't resolve the problems, especially if the green/pink lines or flashing persist, it could be a hardware defect with the display, display connector, flex cable, or even the motherboard.
In such cases, it's recommended to contact Samsung Support or visit a certified Samsung service center for diagnosis and potential repair or screen replacement.

I hope this helps. 🙂
