One UI 6.1 no colour on lock screen/ always on screen

I've just had the One UI 6l.1 update pushed out top my S21 Ultra and am dismayed to find that the lock screen is now monochrome grey on black. The clock and any notification icons are all just grey. 

Within just a few seconds I am wishing I hadn't installed it, as I can't see anything in settings about this. 

Previously it was very easy to recognise the notifications, eg the green WhatsApp one. Now it's grey. Email notifications all now show the same grey envelope outline instead of the red or blue envelopes that different apps showed before. 

What a mess.

I agree I hate not having the colour on my AOD display all the icons except the Samsung Free app are white. Who decided to remove the colour wants his head looking at. Why should you have to use Goodlock or Lockstar and the likes of NavStar to give it the colours you want. The developers have no brains!

As a developer myself, it's usually not developers who make choices like these, but usually a product team or another arm of the business.

A53 has a black screen no pic just clock with aod turned on is ***** . White notifications and finger prints
You can change colours notifications in lockstar

Same. I would think someone upstairs was terrified the new so called AI nonsense would suck battery so they have turned off colour and reduced brightness to save power. Brainless decision when it compromises use of the phone

I actually have colour in my AOD, not sure it's because I use goodlock or not. I'll turn it off and see what happens.

Only colour I have is the clock.

Any solution found yet, apart from installing something I don't want to install.

Yeah support are telling me to install goodlock and Lockstar which I can't find. I tried 2 third party apps but they suck battery like crazy. I have noticed since my post that the Facebook notification is the usual blue f so if that can use colour, why can't the others?

Good lock is nothing more than a bloat it does NOT work samsung needs to stop with the weekly updates,  they took out headphone jack , SD card , LED notification now the AOD  this is my last samsung,  there will be nothing in this household by samsung aka scamsung.  now they auto update  system  this is UNACCEPTABLE it has killed more than 1 phone Still waiting on my washer warranty repair  NEVER again

Samsung you need to  let it go a person who pays for an item you no longer have rights to it it is MY PROPERTY not yours it has crashed more than 1 phone causing me to loose pictures of my husband who put a bullet in his head

Fixed it on mine by doing Edit Lock Screen. Then choose the time on the edit screen and select it, then change it's colour using the custom colour pallette and picking white, then the lock screen became visible again.
