Old texts appearing on car screen

There are times when I'm driving and the car will show I have a text, when I hit the button to read it, it's an old text. I got a new car and the problem still happens which makes me think it's the phone. Sometimes its from a person who has passed away, sometimes its from a number I deleted from my phone. When you look at the phone physically that text doesn't show up as just recieved

I've had the same issue.. I see messages come up on the screen but it's not on my phone. There are old texts.. and it just started happening after I saw a spiritualist.. never happen before... So I'm not really sure what to make of it..
