No notifications

Hiya, 

I have a Samsung S21 5G and since my last update I have had no notifications other than phone calls, (ie when I get a text I dont know) and its causing a lot of problems for me, my phone is not on do not disturb, my volume in notification settings is all the way up, and if my phone is connected to my car, I can hear them, just not when my phone isnt connected to anything else, 

Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

You might need to go into each app setting and notification categories to select what you want. So go to Settings, Apps, Your app (messages or others) Notifications, Notification Categories. Like my screenshots

In addition to the advice given by timbo586, you may need to enable a setting before you can actually see 'Notification categories'. To do this goto:
Settings>notifications >advanced settings. Toggle ON 'Manage notification catagories for each app '

Absolutely. I'd forgotten that setting was there as I must have enabled it a fair while back. It's odd it wouldn't be enabled by default though

Agreed. After the update, that setting is usually off by default.
