Messages app notifications when DND is on

Hi, as the title says, Messages app fires up notifications of incoming messages and remainders of those messages even when DND is on.

There are no exceptions set for messages to let notifications get through DND yet this happens anyway, does anyone knows how to fix it?

I have the same issues for chat messages coming from Telegram and WhatsApp, again these app are set not to break DND but I had to remove sounds notifications permanently and at all times not to be woken up at night.

Now I wonder if I shall remove all sounds notifications also from Messages so I will get no notifications from txt messages as well, is this the price to pay if you have a Samsung phone and you want DNS activated at night?

Could you post your DND settings? I am sure you set it up correctly but I have learnt to always ask, as we all make mistakes

My DND works exactly as it should, but I have exception for a couple of apps I want to notify me like for bell or certain apps

If required, this snapshot shows Messages are not allowed notifications/reminders during DND..

If you use the quick menu (pull down menu) you can easily silence or set your phone to vibrate.

That's not why DND has been invented and is meant to work at least on Android-based phones, not even how it has been implemented by Samsung according to the screenshot above...

Thank you for contributing, a work around may be OK but silence the phone or putting it on vibrate may very well make me miss important calls I want to take, hence DND...
