How can I stop the camera on my Samsung S21 deciding to rotate photos I take? This is incredibly annoying, it does it a lot and there is no sense to it. I've looked for a setting in the camera setting but can't find anything.
Is this a Samsung problem or an Android problem does anyone know?
PLEASE can someone help? Thanks

I want to leave Auto Rotate on for viewing videos, etc. There should be a separate feature for the cameras! I'll snap a pic and when I go to upload it or attach it, it's sideways! SUPER ANNOYING, I have to manually edit it to rotate it. We want to shut that feature off, why is it rotating the pics without us asking?

Experiencing the same problem - apparently no solution from Samsung ?

I just ran into this issue and found a solution that worked for me... it is because High Efficiency Pictures was enabled, causing certain apps to force rotate the image even though it looks fine in the camera app and photo gallery.
solution is Camera Settings > Advanced Picture Settings > Toggle High Efficiency pictures off

Go into your camera settings and turn off "scan documents and text". On my s24, when taking photos, and then going in to gallery, some of them would be rotated 90 degrees, which was annoying and meant I had to retake them.
