I had the greens screen of death with my Galaxy S10e. Switching to Display always on does work, but I found every morning after an overnight charge I would get the problem even with always on display working. After a couple of reboots the problem would go away until the next full charge, whereupon it would happen again.
Preventing full charge by using the battery protect function has worked for me. However battery protect stops at 85% charge which his not quite enough for me. I have now used a Bixby routine to change that to 95%, (easily found with a quick search on Google) and so far I am free of the problem. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
