Galaxy S20 photo resolution

Hello,

Just came off a short road trip with amazing pictures of the Oregon coast.  But I'm confused as to why the photo file size is so small but the resolution is HUGE.  I'd expect something >20Mb for 4032x2268 resolution.   How is that kind of compression going to mess with post edit?

Hey! Fellow photographer here and love the picture! I am not sure what kind of compression Samsung uses for their camera but if you are concerned about post processing, I would recommend you save your photographs in Raw format. You can do this either in Camera settings or download 'Expert Raw' from Galaxy store. Hope it helps!
