Galaxy s10e mic issue

Hi my wife's brand new s10e has an issue with the mic on calls when using the speaker phone. The mic works well when doing a test on voice recorder. However people complain that when on a speaker phone call they can't hear her very well. Any ideas please

Hey there, Did you by any chance buy this device second hand? It's very common for voices to sound different on a phone call than they do in a voice recording, Have you tried restarting the device? Checking for updates or cleaning the devices microphone?

Hi it's brand new from amazon. No updates available. I took the sim card out if her new s10e and put it in the old one and the problem goes away

Hello 👋 @Geemaster 

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

May I assume that calls not using the speakerphone is OK ?

Ultimately you could consider having the phone swapped out under any relevant cooling off period.

Hi, yes calls ok without speaker phone. I will try the reboot. If this dosnt work then I have the option to return the product. Just rather I didn't have to do that. Cheers
