So my network provider giffgaff has turned off shortcodes and told me to use my phone to manage call forwarding. The call forwarding on my S20 doesn't have an option to add a fixed time delay/number of rings, so presumably it will forward the call immediately which is not what I want.
Incidentally, how does it work? Does the configuration menu try to talk to the phone network to set up call forwarding or does the call route through the phone and back out to the designated forwarding number? In the latter case, what happens when the phone is off?
