My Samsung Galaxy S9 does not fast charge when I use a USB cable other than the black cable with the shiny plugs provided with the device. Looking at the difference between the cable it appears that the cable that works has a CC pin in the USB-C plug, that is missing in the other cables.
I am considering buying a USB cable with a magnetic connection, so that I do not have to plug/unplug the USB cable from the socket of the phone, and also avoid dust from gathering in the socket, since I keep the phone in my pockets.
I tried charging with a magnetic connection cable of the brand Essager and the phone doesn't fast charge. Does anybody know if there are brands that do support fast charging on my Galaxy S9? The Essager by the way did support fast charging on my Samsung Galaxy S7 FE.
