Echo on recipient side on S21 only in speakerphone mode

I have a brand new Galaxy S21 and when I am speaking to someone on the phone, if the phone is in speakerphone mode, the person I am calling hears an echo of themselves. I do have a phone case (Speigen liquid crystal case) that is on the phone. Is the case the reason? 

Any help is appreciated, I do like to use speaker mode quite a bit.

I was ready to send my phone back until I tried this and it fixed the problem immediately.

I ran across a solution and it works.  I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. Go to Settings, Sounds and Vibration, Sound Quality & Effects, then uncheck the Dolby Atmos box. The info underneath reads "experience breakthrough audio for media playback that flows above and around you."  I don't know what that takes care of it but it does involve audio and it worked for me.
