Connecting smart phone and smart watch

Hi there how do I connect my smart phone to my smart watch please , can't figure it out

If you have a Samsung watch you will need to download the Galaxy Wearable app to your phone ( if another make of watch you will prob need to download the Google Wear OS app ) then use the app to pair your watch with your phone. From memory I think you also need to use the watch settings to put watch in pairing mode - can't remember if watch asks about pairing any way when you power it on )
