I already confirmed (See page 2) full reset did the job, but same as you will probably have to do if you decide to go down that path... I had to seat down and backup the phone before that, and afterwards re-install everything from scratch (about 4-5H work)
The outcome is me running on Android 12 ONE-UI4 latest patch, everything is working flawlessly.

@Kaplaey2 Thanks for the suggestion. I signed out of Google a/C, back in, cleared Play Store and Services caches etc. Same issue present.
Yes you did describe full reset works on page 2 - when I asked for confirmation I was mistaking you for another poster.
OK - gonna factory reset now...

Factory reset fixed it. SW versions and dates remain as described above.
Specifically I followed the steps described on page 2 by Kaplaey2.

Hi SBR. Glad you fixed your issue.
Interestingly my Device Security defaulted to OFF after my factory reset. I just turned it on, did a scan, then was able to install 3/3 apps ok. Strange.

Quite the same, at the begin, after reset and switch on to protected mode, i was able to install applications, but when a new update of one application appears in playstore, i was unable to install it, error 503 again. After removing protected mode, every thing is now ok 🙂

Same for me.
Thank you @sbr35760.
Setting device security On and Off solved the problem.
The full sequence i performed was:
1. Set Device protection antivirus to On
2. Scan for viruses
3. Set device protection to Off
4. Clear cache for Play Services
5. Clear cache for Play Store
6. Check for updates and update if necessary.

Thanks! this did the trick!
Man, if only I had known before this would work, I would have not had to go through the pain of a factory reset 2 weeks ago, only to find out the problem came back after!!!!

Thanks @SamUser4, but sorry, it didn't work for me.
I can update apps but not install new apps.
So, with the help of @Kaplaey2, I changed my repair scenario like this:
Now, I'm getting error -504 when installing new apps... Grrr...
Updating existing apps works like a sharm...
In the meantime Play Store version 28.3.20 & 28.7.13 are available (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/) but I don't want to mess with my day-to-day used cellphone. I rather wait for Samsung to come up with a solution...

I turned off device security and I managed to install every app I wanted.
