Can't deposit cheques

Having issues with depositing cheques, been a while now tried a few months ago thought it was just the app but tried again now still facing the same issues

Tried multiple banks all have the same, can't read edges

Try clearing cache from banking apps or camera in settings > apps > storage.

Most of the times it's the banking apps also could be the s21 series problem, try with other devices if possible and see if it works on other devices.

Already tried all of that.

However was able to deposit on really old iphone 8

Don't think its the banking apps more samsung and it's updates

I've had similar issues @St3chn0 however it can be the software on the phone and or the software within the banking app. 

Sometimes there's something on the cheque that the banking app does not like reading.

Could be an issue with your bank or even your S21 but iv'e a S22ultra and never had an issue to deposit a cheques especially now that most banks are closing a lot of their branches which leaves you visiting the Post Office, then even closing some of them also.

Exactly why I need it, was working fine pre June July time but not sure what's changed that it no longer works

I ended going into my Bank and deposited the cheque in with a Bank Teller instead @St3chn0 

I appreciate that defeats the convenience of depositing the cheque at home. 

Apparently some cheques are printed with some  ***** after the name of the person on the cheque that some of the banking apps does not like. 

As a troubleshooting step it might be worth as a process of elimination to try a different mobile phone with your Banking App on pre software update 🤔 

Side Note > Oh and if the cheque is blank on the back ensure to use a pen to write one's name and sort code  /  Account number onto it. 

I'm required to take photo's of the front and back via my Banking App.
