Camera has black screen

My samsung galaxy s20 camere has a blavk screen when i ho on the camera app and any other app like snapchat it wont let me take a picture i contacted samsung  and dident recive much help i went through steps that they advisted me to do and even factory reset my phone and still dosent work ?

@kenny77889: Please try heading to Settings > Apps > Camera > Force stop > Storage > Clear cache > Clear data, then press and hold the Side button > Restart. This will refresh the device, and resolve any software issues that might be affecting the functionality of the Camera app.

Samsung S20+ here, camera is glitching and now has gone black on all but 0.5 zoom. It intermittent at present.  Clear 5gb off internal storage and followed all the guides above but still not working.

I suggest the following:  go to Settings [cogwheel @ top right of pull-down menu] > Apps > Camera >Camera Settings > Reset Settings (@ bottom). If that doesn't fix your issue(s), then I would definitely backup all your data & xfer pics, media, etc... to another storage source (i.e., external hard drive or cloud) then execute a factory reset to refresh and update all your apps. This should correct most software glitches and issues, however obviously will not fix hardware issues. Hope this helps & good luck to ya, now! 😉
