Blocking text message

Can I block text messages that don't provide a number only name? I can delete but would prefer to block

Hey there

Yes you can.

Go to your message list, press down on the text you want to block to highlight it.

Top right, click on 3 dots and select block.

It won't stop the text coming in, it will pop it into your spam folder in messages.

With One UI 6 on Samsung Messages,  select More at Botton of screen and choose Block.  Pin to top is the other option.

There needs to be a way to not have blocked texrs stored. I don't want to see them. This is making me want to leave samsung because I am getting texts from an ex partner and I don't want to be able to look.

Does not work in case where "text messages that don't provide a number" as was mentioned... I have just get froud message where sender name is NETFLIX but from urls in text is obvious that it is not netflix at all... but I don't have any option to block it as it is anonymous sms which is very very sad... I would expect there is some setting where you can block all anonymous text messages.. if someone wants to message me then it must not be anonymously. But unfortunatelly I haven't found such option.
