Blocked messages folder

Hi all. I recently had to block a contact. However, when they call it still lists on my call log. In addition, in text messages there is a 'view blocked messages' folder. 

Is there any way of getting rid of this folder to enable full block?

@Craigmc Hello, in the Messages app / Settings / Block numbers and spam / Blocked messages, you have the option to edit. Mark all the messages that you want to delete and delete them. Greetings.

Thanks. I'd figured this out already but was hoping there was a way to fully block messages, as in remove the blocked messages folder so messages from blocked contacts do not come through.

This needs to become a thing. With blocked numbers on iPhone the texts and calls just don't come in.

Did you figure this problem out, I need the answer as well. I'm sick of seeing the nasty threatening texts from my ex as they go to the blocked text folder ?

The fix for me was switching to Google Messages. Give it a try. It's so much better - more features too.
