Avoid, avoid AVOID the s21 ultra 5g.

Do a quick Google search...

This phone constantly overheats to dangerous temperatures if you ask me. As a result, all your apps will close down... can't even use WhatsApp video call multi window as it gets to hot and is forced to close

The phone gets so hot sometimes while charging that it stops you from charging.

The phone gets so hot you can't even handle it.

It gets so hot hat I have to turn my bedroom fan on and let it blow directly on the device just too cool it down.

I have raised my concerns with samsung and they have been very unhelpful. I'm honestly concerned that someone will get badly hurt using this device

This phone should come with a warning, as it doesn't here is mine.

Buyer beware!

Clearing cache deletes old files some of which get left behind after both system and app updates. These can become corrupt causing an app or a device to have problems. It's certainly good practice.
In relation to battery stats this will show which app or apps are eating cpu power which will cause battery drain and heat from the battery and cpu. Certain apps like Chrome and Facebook do not work well on Android 11. Most social media apps are problematical.

If you're having a number of cpu intensive apps working at the same time, overheating can happen.

Yup. My phone only started getting hot over the past few months. I've hard reset and it made no difference.

Summer will be interesting for Samsung. I suspect there will be class action.

Wiping the cache is a great solution to world peace too!

I wipe it every time. Makes no difference.

If it did, it would be part of the update process...

Sorry to hear your issues but you can't broadbrush your problems to all S21 Ultra.. if that was the case we would have had more media attention and perhaps even a recall.

In fact we have two units in the house both Exynos since end of February and have had NO heating issues at all. We have had initial Bluetooth issues which have been resolved via updates.

I suspect it is the set of applications certain people are using that are rogue battery/CPU hogs.

All the best.

You're too quick to blame the user. Overheating isn't unheard of, I'm not unique. I'm happy your phone is functioning as it should but mine isn't, nor is many others. @Samsung should replace these faulty handsets.

I've ran the device care diagnostic, put to sleep/deep sleep apps suggested. The highest battery drain is WhatsApp... an app likely billions of people use 🤷‍♂️
