AUG4 Global, Exynos, JULY Android Security patch + camera update

This latest update is the 14th for the Global, Exynos, S21 series and is currently being rolled out by Samsung and is a later, July, build than the current U.S. Snapdragon update AUFD which has a June build date.

 

This update is for camera, general bugfixes and July security patch.

 

Initially, as always, this is rolling out to the non-carrier branded, stock Samsung CSC codes first.

 

The Galaxy S21 Global, Exynos, devices that will receive this update are...

• S21 5G model SM-G991B
• S21+ 5G model SM-G996B
• S21 Ultra 5G model SM-G998B
  This latest release replaces the previous G99*BXXU3AUF6 build.

   

  It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings >Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch, and check via that.

Settings > About phone > Software information > Service provider software version > (Look for your 3 letter/digit CSC code. See screenshot)

That's great. My temporary fix was to change the APN for Vodafone UK and set the APN Protocol set to IPv4/IPv6 instead of IPv4. That did provide me much stable connections to 4G and 5G

Thought it was as none of the U.K. carrier branded firmware has been released yet... only the stock, unbranded, Samsung firmware for AUG4.

Once again it is the EE firmware for the U.K. on CSC code EVR that is released for U.K. carrier branded phones first.

S21 devices on the U.K. carrier branded firmware for O2 on CSC code O2U are now receiving the July update for AUG4.

It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings > Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch and check via that.

S21 devices on the U.K. carrier branded firmware for Vodafone on CSC code VOD are now receiving the July update for AUG4.

This only leaves the carrier branded S21 devices for Three network, CSC H3G, to release. Last as usual.

This update did not enhance my selfie camera. Selfie video recording still blur.

Please Samsung should enable selfie video screen flash at night

I have not noticed any improvement, I have 4 camera updates on my s21 + exynos and the video recording in low light conditions still has a lot of noise and little detail, it is literally unusable. Image noise removal processing with night mode takes away most of the detail, leaving behind washed out, unreal photos. Very disappointed.
