Any ideas on how to "Split" video in video editor?

I want to split video in video editor so that I can take out unwanted part in the middle of video. Any ideas on How To?

You can do two trim videos using the siccors icons.
So for a minute long video
Trim from say .01 to .30 and save and then do another trim from .30 to 1.0 and save.

So I will have to have several copies made first to trim each. If there's one copy, that I will have already trimed and saved. Or does trimming leaves a original as as is to do another trim so on and so forth???

Yeah it leaves the original, I just tried it.

Use a sample video to practice and try out and see how it goes for you before you try the proper one.
