Android 12 One UI 4 UI Lag and choppiness

Is anyone else experiencing UI lag and choppiness of apps closing and opening.

I updated to android 12 one UI 4 on my S20+ Exynos but I have noticed its slightly laggy and choppy.

I know the s21 android 12 update had similar issues and it was patched.

Hopefully we will too.

I'm also having the same issues with One UI 4 on my S20+ 5G. After the update it is lagging and it's very choppy. It's is really obvious cuz previous One UI was really smooth. And my battery time is shortened. 120Hz rate fixes that lagging and chopping a bit but it drains my battery so fast. Just can't believe that Samsung rolled out an update with so many issues. I also just installed new update with a security patch for January 2022 and it's still the same. I'm really frustrated at the moment.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem on my S20 FE and I was really looking forward to the new OneUI 4 but I'm super disappointed. I hope this issue gets fixed soon. You can do it Sammy!

same here. I have tried the cold boot and have just tried the 'reset all' so will give that a go over the next few days.

My s20+ just seemed to stall on a variety of apps & web pages. really really slow - 5G or WiFi connected.

Same issue with my S20 FE. pulling down quick panel has a frequent stuttering issue. It becomes okay after using for a while, but when idle for a some time, then tried pulling the quick panel, it will be stuttery  again.

You are lucky, since the update when I pull down the quick panel, most of the time my phone reboots...

Tried that and no joy, but I did turn off ' unlocking animation' and that totally sorted my issues , phone is running fantastic now.

Looks like a new update is available, it has security patch for February and is about 835MB which is a lot bigger than normal for a security patch update

Will post any changes.

That update did not solve my lagging issues, unfortunately. After reboot all is fine for about 24 hours. After that things start to lag again.
