Android 12 One UI 4 UI Lag and choppiness

Is anyone else experiencing UI lag and choppiness of apps closing and opening.

I updated to android 12 one UI 4 on my S20+ Exynos but I have noticed its slightly laggy and choppy.

I know the s21 android 12 update had similar issues and it was patched.

Hopefully we will too.

there seems to be a security patch for January 2022 that I'm downloading now.

It may include bug fixes, will report back if it fixes issues.

I changed back to full hd+ and toggled off/on for vivid/natural, power saving/120hz, that fixed it 🙈

Ridiculous that you would have to do all that to make it work. Tried it. For me still terrible lag after a day use (after restart)....

It would seem , there is still lag and choppiness issues.

Still the same after January patch. Reboot does temporarily fix it, but the issue maintains...

after updating to UI 4 my phone is laggy a lot and crushing while using certain apps. also restart often, while using!

On my Note 20 ultra, the default setting on "motion smoothness" under display settings was on "Standard" for better battery life. I switched it to "Adaptive" and all lagging has stopped. Hope it works for others.

Same quickpanel agging issue with s20fe after being updated to one ui4.

Anyone knows a fix?
