Android 12 feature request - navigation bar

Hello.

I have a feature request for Android 12.

I would like more customisation for the 'swipe gestures' navigation bar.

I have tried the swipe gestures and, for me, they overlap with the task in hand (eg: flicking horizontally through pictures on an Instagram post).

I would like the option to have the ios type navigation bar.

Ideally for me:

- swiping left on the bar will make me go back on the page

- tapping the bar will go to the home screen

- press and holding the bar will launch the Google Assistant

- double tapping the bar will open the open apps / swiping right on the bar will open the open apps

For me, that's the best of the old navigation bar system and the new.

I hope that anyone reading this likes my idea.
