21 Ultra GPS/Compass issues.

I have been having constant compass/GPS direction issues with my 3 week old S21 Ultra. 

I am unable to calibrate the inbuilt compass. Google Maps calibrates breifly with the camera but then reverts to being incorrect. Calibrating Google Maps manually also does not work. 

Every navigation app I use has me facing 90° in the wrong direction. I have restarted and factory reset the phone and it has never been dropped or damaged. 

The case I have it in is Magsafe and taking it out improves calibration slightly but I'm at a loss as to what else to do to fix fully. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, to me the best assistance was the reply mentioning the sensor menu activated with --> Phone App and *#0*# to access the hardware menu and select the sensor submenu, then test the sensors itself.

However, while examining the suggestions I realized, that in my case the problem was the small magent of the flip-vcover on the right hand side if the cover. As soon as I removed the flip-cover and recalibrated - all went like a breeze.

Hi all.

I had the same issue, and after reading most of the above.

Removed magnet case .
Using a silicone back case only .
Re callibrared the compass, and so far, so good .

Will update if it messes up again.

My wife has same problem. Kept telling me she cant use it for walking... so i decided to test out... fully calibrated, it is so weird the compass and the map. Im getting 180 to 90 degrees error.

I think the camera bit that sticks out in the back, maybe the metal may interfere with it? Idk what else to think.
