Moonlapse photography with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra – Step by step guide

We have all seen those cool photos of the moon, right? Our community members have put our device to test, and shares how to best take your moonlapse photos on your phone in day and nighttime.

Follow along for tips and tricks:

1) Pre-estimate the moonset or moonrise direction. For best picture, make sure to find a nice spot with the right direction.

2) Find a good viewpoint with far away subject. Find a shot with something in the background, like trees, houses, mountains etc. This can act as a foreground for the moon to give the moon picture a more interesting perspective and show the scale of objects.

3) Timing is very important. Find the right moment yourself when the moon is very low on the horizon but still visible. This will give you an easier time to align the moon with other subjects on the ground.

4) Zoom in. Zoom all the way to 10x-20x to your subject that is in front of the moon, see below:
