I have an issue with Google messages RCS feature.
When communicating with any contact that is available for RCS messages and that contact is offline/has no data or WiFi, the not-sent report takes an hour to get to me. This is very inconvenient when I need a message to get answered very quickly. At least, we should get a report on this in the next five or so minutes.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
P.S. I have already enabled the automatic switch to SMS but it doesn't seem to work. I have to manually switch to SMS.

I was finding RCS most unreliable. Frequently being told contacts were offline when they weren't and as you reported, having to wait ages to find out the message hadn't gone, if Indeed I was told at all.
