Hi I'm hoping someone might be able to help after trying to troubleshoot this for 3 days now, it has been a nightmare.
I'm using Smartswitch and a Cable to transfer my Whatsapp from an iphone 13 to Samsung Z Flip 6.
It seems to copy everything across to the Samsung, then it gets to "Importing Chats" (in Whatsapp) on the Samsung. This seems to fail at 92% every time.
Even though it fails, it puts me in Whatsapp on the Samsung, asks me to put in my name, then takes me into my chats. In there all I see are my Group chats (with no chat history, just empty) but none of my individual chats, they have all been lost.
The Samsung was factory reset before starting this process.
I've done it several times, one of the times I even installed Smartswitch on the iphone as well and tried it again, same problem.
I cant get any support from either Samsung or Whatsapp.
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated, also if anyone has used any of the paid for apps to do this, I would love a recommendation. I am happy to pay for it but I would prefer something that doesn't back p to the cloud, that just transfers the data between the two phones offline as I dont want all my data going to some random server.
Thank you in advance!

Sorry 🫣 one more thing… did your pics and voice notes etc transfer as well? Or just the text of the chats ?

Hi friend, reading that someone went through the same thing I've been going through these days gives me a little relief.
I was surprised to read about the third-party app you used, since it's the one I decided to buy, and it didn't work for me.
Did you buy MobileTrans for Windows/Mac or the iOS/Android app?
That would help me know, since I don't want to spend more money without being sure.
Thanks, friend!

Hello Lucas, it was MobileTrans for Windows. I did need assistance from their support team to make it work; so, if you have a big WhatsApp repository, you will need to wait during the MobileTrans "transferring" portion and not click on the App...it is not very intuitive in this regard...I needed to switch back to my iPhone for application compatibility issues, but now I want to go back to my Android, and I have logged another call with their support team. I want to see how they do it this time, as the place I got stuck last time is not the same this time.... I'll keep you posted.
I can see all the iPhone backed-up WhatsApp messages on MobileTrans on my Windows laptop, however when I need to transfer it to the Android, I have dialog boxes popping up on the Android device and my Windows PC that do not allow me to progress.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, friend. Wow! I suspect the problem is when trying to log in with the modified WhatsApp that the app installs, right?
I bought the same app and I'm stuck there, with a message that appears just before entering the 6-digit code, saying that "I can only log in from the official WhatsApp."

I am stuck in a loop...just before I enter my mobile number....I am waiting for one of the Mobiletrans support to contact me, I want to schedule a remote session so I can see how they fix it.

It's really unbelievable that after so many years, there's still no official solution for this, and we still have to rely on third-party apps. I'm also in contact with support — if they give me a solution, I'll let you know here. If they manage to fix it for you first, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know here as well. Thank you so much, my friend.

Will gladly share the resolution, once I hear from them.

i was able to resolve this issue by deleting the old groups which i am not member of anymore. Hope this helps
