Unable to view body of emails or send emails on A3

My husbands Samsung A3 email app is not working correctly.  You can see the list of emails but when you click to open the email the body of the email does not come up.  When you try and send an email you can fill in recipient email address and subject but nothing in the body of the email.  It’s on the Samsung email app.  I see other people have the same issue.  Any idea how to resolve this?
