I bought samsung Galaxy s24 ultra from Ebay. Before I bought the phone, i called samsung uk and gave them the IMEI number to check. they told me the phone is genuine and uk model does not report lost or stolen.  After 2 months, the phone is locked by samsung. I called samsung, and they said the person i bought the phone from didn't send his old phone for the trade.

I tried every this with them to unlock the phone.  I said i would pay the money they refused. I told them i needed the photos for my family and documents, and they said we couldn't help you with that .

Im very disappointed .

Hi, sorry to hear that, but to be fair, it's not Samsungs fault. It's the seller who is dishonest & unfair, that person knew exactly what they were doing, if you purchased the device through a credit card or PayPal, contact their customer service & explain your situation to them, you might be able to get a refund, it's worth a try.
I hope all turns out well for you.
Also contact eBay to log a complaint against the seller via ebays customer service.

Unfortunately you were scammed by the seller of the phone as so often happens from sites like this.
Because you were not the original purchaser of the phone. You won't have the original documents and details.
So won't be able to unlock the phone.
If you can still contact the seller, see if you can get your money back.
But the seller waited until the period where you can complain to Ebay had passed before doing what they did

It's a popular scam that you were caught out with.

As @Blessed4life has said. If you purchased with a credit card, then contact them. If not I fear you have lost your money and left with a phone you can't use.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

I'm sorry to hear you've been scammed by an eBay seller.. Sadly with flagship devices this can and does happen.

You'll need to report this to eBay to see if you can recover your money or, as mentioned above, if you paid by CREDIT card then speak to your card issuer with regards to a Section 75 Claim under the Consumer Credit Act.

Samsung have followed the correct procedure. Please don't take this the wrong way but how do Samsung know the device wasn't stolen for example?
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.
