I finally updated to the new OneUI and I absolutely hate the search bar at the bottom in the apps drawer. I don't use the search bar ever and it makes no sense to have something I don't use at the bottom where I can more easily touch the screen. This just moved the apps further away from my reach. Please allow us to choose where the search bar goes.

Also, give us the option to have a horizontal app drawer that's sorted alphebetically. I shouldn't have to do a stupid folder trick to sort my apps alphabetically while in a horizontal layout.

I switched to Samsung because it was customizable, but at this rate I'm looking at my other options.

Dear Samsung ONE UI Development Team,

I would like to request the addition of an App Lock feature in the possible future update of ONE UI. An integrated app lock would greatly enhance privacy and security for users by allowing us to lock specific apps with PIN, password, fingerprint, or biometric authentication.

Many users, including myself, appreciated the S Secure app lock functionality offered in older Samsung devices. That feature provided peace of mind and convenience, ensuring our sensitive apps stayed protected even if the device itself was unlocked.

Currently, the lack of an official app lock means users have to rely on third-party or unofficial solutions, which may not be as secure, well-integrated, or trusted. A built-in app lock in ONE UI would make the experience seamless and help maintain Samsung's reputation for security.

Please consider bringing back an app lock feature like S Secure in one of the future update. It would be beneficial for all who value privacy and want more granular control over app access.

Thank you for your attention and for continuously improving the Samsung ONE UI experience!

Hello,
When battery reaches charging limit for example 90 %, I sometimes forgot to unplug the charger and phone can stay plugged in for minutes or hours after charging limit, this is bad because even when charging limit is reached, charger still sends tiny pulses of electricity to phone which harm the battery over time . My suggestion is to make a sound notification to notify us when charging reaches a limit. So, when charging finishes, the notification plays to notify us.
Sound notification plays until we unplug the charger. Also, add an option to put any notification sound we want from our phone. This feature can be made for all Samsung phones, despite the Series.

Thanks

Hi there @Krepo , and welcome to the Samsung UK & Ireland Community board.  😀

This is a great idea for the reasons you've mentioned, so I've moved your post to this thread to give it a better chance of being seen by our software engineers.

In the meantime, you can create a custom Routine to play a notification sound when your battery level is charged to a specific percentage. To do this, open your phone's Settings and go to Modes and Routines, tap on Routines at the bottom and then select the + symbol at the top. Once there, please follow the next steps:

> Select the section named "If".

> Scroll down and select the "Battery level" option.

> Manually enter the battery percentage that you want your notification to play at (e.g. 90%)

> Tap the "Equal to or above" option and select "Done".

> Tap on the "Then" section, scroll down, and choose "Notifications".

> Select "Show custom notification" and enter your desired text and toggle "Read this notification aloud" to On or Off, depending on your personal preference.

> Press "Save" and you're good to go.

Hope that helps with your query in some way.

@Krepo , you don't have to manually set up a routine, it's already defined under Discover

@Sonora, now that I didn't know, so thank you for sharing. Just checked it myself and can see it's pretty much all set up and editable. Every day's a school day, as they say 😄

It's came with OneUI 7 🤭.

Modes and Routines still have a bug. After restarting I have to wait a few minutes for the app to load, and then I have to disable and re-enable the routines because they don't work after a restart.😒

I have set this up in Modes and Routines, but there is two things that I don't like. 1. Vibrate once. I don't want vibration, I want to turn off vibration, but there is no option for that in Vibrate once.  2.Read this notification aloud(in Show custom notification). This option (Read this notification aloud) is useless for me. I would rather choose a .mp3 file from my phone or built-in ringtones in Samsung.
