Furthermore, all Android app developers could then be asked to make the top toolbar of their apps as semi-transparent opacity and floating (auto dissappear) when scrolling.

Do you have screenshot?

My findings:

• Option for One UI (and possibly native Android AOSP) for users to remove the status bar (notification bar) for all apps. The status bar would only reappear upon manual downwards gesture swipe which is already achievable in many fullscreen apps.

• Option for One UI (and possibly native Android AOSP) for users to control the opacity/transparency level of the status bar (notification bar) for all apps Ability in One UI (and possibly native Android AOSP) for users to fully hide any app's ActionBar at the top. Android apps such as eBay, MX Player and Solid Explorer are examples of aps that have a static (fixed place) ActionBar at the top that never dynamically moves away from view when scrolling. The proposal to hide the ActionBar could be achieved with a two-finger tap & hold gesture or swipe with two-fingers. This would then hide it into a vertical transparent bar located at the top right of the screen.

• Some apps have (such as Amazon app) keep a permanent bottom bar on the bottom of their apps which sites above the system nav bar.

• Conclusion proposal = a two-finger gesture of tap & hold for a few seconds to Hide these UI elements within any apps. This would be either status bar, ActionBar or bottom bar of any app.

Coincidentally a recently found Twitter page devoted to this same Android cause, linked here:

If you think it's crazy 🤪 Then why did Android add Immersive mode as far back as Android 5.0?

Why did Samsung's One UI team positively add the user option of "Full screen apps for split screen view"?

Why did Samsung's app development team positively add the user option "Hide status bar" into the Samsung Internet app?

How comes Google Maps app positively displays in Full screen and keeps the top status bar fully transparent?

All of these rhetorical questions point to the same thing of full Immersion into the app and taking advantage of full screen regardless of notch and disregarding the status bar.

This is what One UI needs more if across all apps.

Google Maps app being an excellent example of an app that already offers full screen scrolling immersion by not covering up the top UI. Google Maps offers a fully transparent status bar and also it's top search bar 'feels' like a floating overlay:
