Storage Space

Hi, I am trying to clear the storage on my sons tablet.  Moat of it is being used by System, I have also deleted the cache but it dosent seem to actually be deleting. I have tried Google Files & AVG neither have helped. Any suggestions please?

Have you wiped the tablets cache partition?

Plug into a working PC/Laptop or other working device.

Hi there paula, i personally use an app called "1 tap cleaner" from the playstore, it goes through each app and automatically clears the CACHE from them, You can use it free or purchase to have it go faster (only 1 or 2 pound but is definitely worth it). You could also try to use an SD card to see if that helps (if your device supports SD storage expansion). Hope this helps you.

& will that all help clear some storage form the system? I think his apps only use 3gg but the system is using 27gb

Have you gone through his apps list manually or checking the largest files list? That system usage is massively bloated. Even on my 1TB S24 Ultra, my system usage is 18GB.

google seems to be the biggest at 546mb, the over all apps are only 2.91 gb unless im looking at the wrong thing?

You can set it to clear system apps, I use it twice a month and its brilliant, Shows you how much cache is being used by all your apps (even system apps).

thank you. I have tried that app,  the system  still says 26gb & app cache still says 84mb

There will always be some CACHE after you do it, its just system apps. You could try going to google play services>storage>clear data>clear all data
