Smart Switch Restoring Data from PC

Hi

I used Smart Switch to back up my entire phone and 128GB SD card to my Windows 10 PC.

I then wanted to restore the photos that were in the SD card and selected that item in Smart Switch.

The SD card has over 60GB free and the photos are 2GB. The restore process completes on the PC and my phones takes a few more minutes saving.

When looking for the pictures, none have been restored to the SD card, or to the phone.

Any pointers on what I should be doing to correct this, and to get the photos restored?

When you connect to smart switch, in the top right hand corner there is an option called preference, click on that and then the option for back up/restore. There you can tick all the options for what can be restored, make sure the media files are ticked as well, click on save and then try the restore again.

a uninstall-reinstall seems to have sorted it, but I haven't tried a full backup and restore
