Samsung spellcheck overriding Gboard

The Samsung Keyboard spellcheck settings keep overriding my preference of Gboard for spelling correction, even while I am using Gboard as my default keyboard. 

I can't disable the Samsung features, which seems to be the only suggestion I've found using Google. 

I just want the Google spellcheck to stay and the Samsung spellcheck to stop overriding my choice.

I both can and can't believe this actually worked. Thanks for that. It's so dumb that a secure folder should be causing this problem for users.
