I think you will find most on here like and use this app. It's hardly useless when it supports RCS messaging.

Use package disabler plus if your so bothered.

@PARTICIPANTOBSE views differ but many are perfectly happy with Samsung Messages and Samsung still wish to promote some of their own apps on their devices. However you can find information on uninstalling unwanted apps with ADB on Xda Developers for instance if that concerned.

James & Pugs may I suggest you both try SMS Organizer, the perfect messaging. Microsoft Corp has once again incorporated both reminder and calendar into messaging. That is what I called innovation contrary to Samsung & Google messaging.
