Samsung keyboard inserting suggested words when hitting symbol button

since the update this morning whenever I type a word then go to put a symbol on the end it inserts the predicted word from the top

This is different to how it worked previous

I have predictive text off in the settings menu.

I have the same issue also after the update, hope someone gets to it

Yes I have the same issue and it is annoying af since no way you can correct it unless you get away from that word and manually. So much tap for a mistake that you don't even make
