Samsung internet browser app opens but is Google browser

Out if the blue, when I opened my Samsung internet browser app it is actually Google.  On settings Samsung internet is still showing as default. I've  tried everything; cleared cache, uninstalled a reinstalled. It's  basically now become a Google browser app in disguise as a Samsung browser app

Settings >apps >choose default apps

I've already done that and it's showing as samsung

Delete whatever those apps are, and reinstall again from authorised sources. Ie Google Play store and Galaxy store.

@s0niah , What's your Samsung Internet's 'Homepage' and 'Address bar search' set at? Samsung Internet > Menu (3 lines at the bottom right) > Settings

Same here. Mine shows as samsung for default but comes up as Google on my phone. My tablet comes up samsung.

Can't be deleted or un-installed.
