Routines - order of preference?

I was trying to set up two different routines - one for evening, one for the day.  in both situations it's when it's charging.

Question being - is there an order of preference to routines?  Meaning when it meets all criteria - it stops checking other routines?

I'd have thought any and all active routines would be run when the set criteria is triggered. If your routines have date/time conditions, then one would assume the routine to become active at those times only and provided all other criteria is met. What particular problems are you experiencing?
