Refund on samsung pay

Went to retailer to return some items, originally payed through the samsung wallet, retailer asked for the card of purchase to refund, used the samsung wallet with the card I used, retailer rejects the card 😑. The teller tells me the last four digits, I check the app and see this exact number on top of my card number except it says digital card number (only in the app not on my actual card). As much as I tried couldn't get this digital account number to show or access a contact less form of the card. Left the shop, been on the phone to #samsung pay for over 30mins been told to send a ticket through the app. WHAT A JOKE this ain't no BUG this is just dumb. Won't be using this ***** again, thought samsung would be the best choice for my card app, I wonder if I can use apple pay on my fold 😆😆😆

You can use Google pay on your fold, sorry to hear about your issue had loads of refunds on samsung pay no problems.

I think apps like Samsung pay and Google wallet use a different number, as an alias. You should be able to get your 4 digits from the physical card.

It's security, so that your actual details aren't shared with the retailer. Did you use curve by any chance?

As has been said already.
Apple Pay is no different, getting refunded after paying by Apple Pay is sometimes problematic.
My friend tried with one retailer. In the end he gave up and got vouchers to spend in store instead
