Please bring back “Lock Secure Folder when leaving app” in One UI 8

Hi Samsung Community,

I’m using a Samsung device with One UI 8 and I noticed that the option to “Lock Secure Folder automatically when leaving the app” is gone. This feature was really useful for keeping my private information safe quickly and easily.

I hope Samsung can bring this feature back in a future update. It would make the Secure Folder much more convenient and secure.

There is a setting in the secure folder where it locks after your screen is turned off.

This is not the same feature earlier you had an option to lock the folder immediately after leaving the app the thing you are saying is different from the one op is complaining about please read and understand the post properly before commenting 🙏

Hello,

After updating my Galaxy S24 Ultra in France to One UI 8, I noticed that the “Lock Secure Folder when leaving app” option has been removed. This feature was very important for me and many other users because it ensured maximum security: every time we left the Secure Folder, it would lock immediately, without waiting for the screen to turn off or for a timer.

Now, the only options available are locking when the screen turns off or after a delay. This is less secure, since it leaves the Secure Folder unlocked if we forget to manually lock it or if the screen stays on.

I kindly ask Samsung to restore the “Lock when leaving app” option in Secure Folder. It was a simple but very effective setting that provided peace of mind for users who need strong privacy protection.

I am a user of Samsung Secure Folder on One UI 8 (Android 16). I noticed that the option to automatically lock the Secure Folder every time I exit an app is no longer available in the latest update.

This feature was very important for me and many other users to maintain privacy and security. Without it, we have to manually lock the folder or rely on the time-based auto-lock, which is less convenient.

You could use Lock "when screen turns off". That'd be a better alternative than using a time
