I'm writing this post in case someone has the same problem in the future I had, and then they'll have the solution right away.
I had an issue with my phone's NFC: as soon as I tried to turn it on, it would immediately switch off by itself. So I couldn't use Google Wallet either. I couldn't find a solution, even reinstalled the OS.
Today, I discovered the cause of the problem: the Microsoft Authenticator app! It was blocking the use of NFC on the phone. I uninstalled it, and now NFC works perfectly!
