I am also experiencing this issue but had only started recently. Has there been any resolution yet? Not blaming but, i do feel that this has only been since one of the last updates

I thought it stopped after several reboots but it's back again. No solutions and i've enver had any real support from Samsung. This issue has been going on for years now as I've seen messages on forums from 2015!

This bug is disappointing me as I have truly grown to rely on this feature to work correctly.

I've seen this happen on various routines over the last several months. Thankfully not that often but I don't know why it happens. I have a similar routine: If I get a notification from the Amazon shopping app, saying that the driver is so many 'stops away', I get my phone to sound a bleep and a smart plug turns on a lamp in the living room. The other week the routine didn't turn on the lamp, with the explanation that the OP has described, something prevented it.
The plug is near the router and is never out of range. I just put it down to a glitch in the space time continuum lol.
Incidentally, back up your phone using Smart Switch, saving the backup to an external drive. Modes and Routines gets saved. Earlier in the year I had a new phone and restored a previous backup. All my modes and routines were restored. The only issue being that some routines were a bit jumbled up in their list of commands, and I had to tidy up the command list. This seemed to only be routines that used a 'Wait X amount of time' in them, and I just had to rearrange the command list so the wait command was in the right place. A small inconvenience considering the amount of time it would have taken to remember all my modes and routines and redo them.

Hi there,
I experienced the exact same problem on my S20+.
I managed to restore by stopping SmartThings Framework app, clearing its cache, and removing its data.
Steps:
1. Settings > Apps > SmartThings Framework > Force Stop
2. Settings > Apps > SmartThings Framework > Storage > Clear cache
3. Settings > Apps > SmartThings Framework > Storage > Clear data
4. Open SmartThings to reload the cache
5. Open Modes and Routines and try Control SmartThings in one of your Modes.
Now it should bring you to the SmartThings controller correctly.

I'll try that, thank you

This is still an ongoing issue. I'm glad there seems to have been a fix at some point in the last, but I recently purchased my 24 ultra and I have this issue. Is there anything being done to track this? Clearly it's becoming a major case. If there is a more helpful resource available now considering the time gap, please let me know.
