I just had a security update done on my Samsung22 last night and now my messenger app will not play voice notes. I can record a message but that too will no play. I have forced stopped, emptied the cache and data, restarted my phone 5x and finally uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I made sure the microphone is on for both phone and messenger app. I am at a loss of what else to do. I Googled and read everything advised and nothing seems to work. Annoyed! Any other ideas?

Can you try wiping the cache partition. Always recommended after any update.

I did. I ended up deleting the entire thread of our conversations, had her resed the voicemails and now all of a sudden it is working. 🙄 Thanks for the reply!

UGH now it isnt except, get this, if I am on the phone with someone and try to play it it works! If I get off the phone call, it stops working. Isn't that weird?
