Lock screen Arabic date - how do I change the setting for this?

On my lock screen the normal UK date is on the screen but underneath there is an Arabic date (Rabi al-Thani 28).

I am not aware of setting this. How do I change it?

In your calendar app settings disable alternate calendar hijri
